To appear on the First Page on Google

Now the time has come to put into practice an easy easy technique, to be used to increase the “trust” of the site.

It is a simple but effective method that allows (especially to new sites or older ones that can not reach the first page of Google) to “get noticed” by Google and start to gain its trust.

Win the trust of Google

The first essential step to start the site path to the conquest of the first page of Google is to gain his trust (in technical jargon “acquire trust”).

We must show Google that we are worthy of attention and trust because we are authoritative for a given topic.

If untill your site was based on the classic 5 pages (home, who we are, where we are, gallery, contacts) it is time to improve it by integrating it with a niche blog. Which niche? Your niche.

Start to produce useful content for the user who reads you about your niche. If the writing of the content foresaw the writing of articles on the most disparate subjects, you should try to change strategy. You can not be an expert on bicycles, drills, travel and beauty creams at the same time, and Google knows it.

If you take care of bicycles, the constant theme of your site must be bicycles, bicycle accessories, bicycle trips, etc. As you can see, you do not need to get bogged down on your own bicycle, but you can and must travel around the world of cycling. This is in particular very appreciated by search engines.

I give an example. If your blog has little trust and you talk about bikes on it, it would be unthinkable to suddenly arrive on the front page with keywords like “Mountain Bike”. There, there are giants like Decathlon, Wikipedia and Canyon …. Difficult to reach the first page.

Through a large editorial plan focused on the world of bicycles, however, you can quickly achieve excellent results with long-tail keywords or keywords not used by your competitors. Always that … manage to gain Google’s trust in the bicycle industry.

Start producing themed content

To gain the trust of Google you have to prove to him that in your field you know a lot.

To do this you need to prepare an editorial plan (many program it 3 months for 3 months) around your niche. It is not necessary to focus on just one topic of the niche, on the contrary … it would be better to vary to give your readers some freshness. How to do it I’ve explained it before (bicycles, accessories, travel by bike, etc …).

If you decide to open a new blog, do not get caught up in the frenzy of putting it online. Write 20-30 quality articles first. Put the time you need and do not be in a hurry. Present yourself to Google and other search engines with a lot of material, it’s just good for your strategy to get on the front page of Google.

If your site is online and you have never done any blogging, or if you have done it sporadically, start to get information and understand that you need to produce content frequently. There are those who say that it is enough to produce excellent content from time to time and that quality is better than quantity.

Articles. Is quality better than quantity?

I don’t agree completely with this statement, at least for new sites or for those that have not yet achieved a good ranking on Google.

In my experience, both requirements must be met. It’s a big job, I know. But it is just so.

So, once you put on paper your editorial plan that must include at least 2-3 quality items per week (better if it were every day), you will have to start producing them. WordPress allows you to schedule articles. Also Joomla and other CMS.

Using this method, in a short time you will see that the pages of your site will start to climb positions on the Google SERP and for some less competitive keyword, you could even get on the front page.

How do I notice that the site has become authoritative on Google?

Good question but this time there is the answer! I bet you expected me to answer with a laconic “depends”.

When you realize that as soon as you publish an article, after a few minutes (sometimes less), Google places it in one of the first 3 pages of the search ranking, it means that you are acquiring authority and you will understand that the road is right. From that moment, continuing with your efforts in a constant manner, even the most competitive keywords will start to position themselves in the first pages of Google. At that point, the mission of acquiring Google trust has been completed.

But you have to continue because it’s easy to lose it.

If you leave your blog you can stand for some time. But do not forget that others compete for the first page of Google in your industry and, if they do what you do not do, you’re destined to be surpassed.

Consolidate and Improve Positioning on Google

During the placement activity on Google, you will have to try to improve and consolidate your positions. To do this I recommend the interlinking technique. What is it about?

Surely you will have made a good article, beautiful full-bodied and comprehensive on a certain topic. To improve your ranking or consolidate it, you should produce some articles as a corollary that contain a link to this page.

Imagine having written a beautiful article on how to change the wheels of a racing bicycle. This article is so complete and well done that it gains the approval of readers and Google. What to do to improve positioning? We insert in our editorial plan the writing of 5-6-7 articles that talk about something similar or better, in topic with the topic (for example types of wheels for racing bikes, brands of wheels for racing bikes, etc). Then insert a link on each article of these to the main article (how to change the wheels on a racing bike).

In this way you channel juice from the other pages to the main article and you make authority to the latter making it level up in the hierarchy of the entire site. It happens because doing so, you are telling Google: “Hey! Look at this article is important … pay more attention than others … “.

The Structure of the Site

In order to maximize the interlinking technique and to ensure that the main article receives as much juice as possible, it is necessary to structure our site in an orderly manner. In words, it is difficult to understand what I want to understand, so I made the image that follows, taking for example an imaginary site that talks about bicycles.

As you can see, it is possible to give an ordered structure to the site, establishing first of all the hierarchy of the pages (road bikes, mountain bikes, walking bikes and children’s bikes will be the most important) through the division by categories.

For each type of bicycle, we can examine other closely related topics that are useful for further study. These must be connected with an outgoing link to the main article of that category and to the other related posts, which can also be used as an in-depth analysis.

This structure allows us to carry out an orderly work and to easily prepare our editorial plan. At the same time, it allows us to deepen the topic in an orderly and meaningful way, all the topics of each category. What will come out of it will be a quality site with content that will surely appeal to both users and Google. A site so designed, if fed with quality articles and not written just to intercept some research, over time will be able to position itself on the first page of Google with many keywords.

Enter the Structured Data in the articles

I insist on this subject because I consider it important. Structured data helps Google to understand the topic mentioned in the article and allows an easy understanding of the entities present and those connected.

Imagine Google as a library whose index divides sites by subject. Entering the structured data will allow you to be cataloged in the right index and this will encourage the insertion of your site in the search rankings related to your niche.

Think for a moment even on the contrary … Google reads your pages and does not understand what your niche is. It will therefore be difficult to categorize the site and your pages will be more difficult to emerge in the right SERP.

Add the URL to the Search Console

Last to be noticed, in our technique to appear on the first page on Google, is to add the url, that is, to go to the Search Console and send the url of each new article produced in the “Fetch as Google” section.

This is not always necessary because Google crawls new site pages on its own. But if our site does not yet have trust, Google will not pass its spider as often as it does with the most authoritative sites. For this reason, manually reporting the presence of the new page of our site is good and right.

External links to the site

The article on how to get on the first page of Google could not fail to mention links external to the site. We have already talked about it several times and I myself recommend reading the book “Link Building, increase the authority of your site and scale the heights of search engines” by Jack Dolmer .

Getting links from other sites to your pages will allow you to improve your positions on Google and other search engines. It is an important part in the process of positioning in the search rankings.

But how to get links to your website?

I admit it’s not easy, especially at the beginning. But over time, working well, they will arrive. It must be said that no one will ever link your site if it does not find it on search engines. And then the plan described above, based on quality content, becomes even more important.

In fact, the links can be acquired naturally when you publish really well-made articles. Users who read you, and who in turn own a site, will gladly link you if you provide them with an important resource for further information on a topic that they themselves are discussing in an article. There will also be those who will copy you without linking you and without mentioning you … but this is part of the game and must be taken for granted.

But if you start copying it also means that you are working well and for you must be a spur to continue like this.

In reality there is also another side of the coin to consider and that relates to the exchange links with other sites or the purchase of spaces to create guest posts with the sole purpose of creating a link to your site. This activity is part of a normal link building strategy (ie, link acquisition).

It must be said that Google discourages this activity that aims to manipulate the search rankings and if it can be traced back to the fact that you have made links exchanges or that you have purchased them, it can decide to invalidate the juice that you receive from those sites or even penalize the pages of your site that benefit from it. The guardian who supervises the links is an algorithm called Penguin.

The link building argument would require a book and we certainly can not treat it all in an article. I advise you to deepen the subject and not to do unscrupulous link building activities. In case you decide to buy or exchange links, choose healthy sites with relevant pages for your site. It would be better if they were “vertical” sites, a term that indicates websites that specialize in just one topic.
